Q: When is the next Commission Meeting?
A:
Commission meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Q:What is the population of Beaver Dam?
A:
Beaver Dam has a population of 3,033 according to the 2000 Census.

Q: Does Beaver Dam have a recreational facility?
A:
Yes.  Oldham Park offers a basketball court, two tennis courts, baseball field, playground equipment and a picnic shelter.

Q: What events are held in Beaver Dam each year?
A:
The Strawberry Festival is held each year during the Memorial Day Weekend.  Downtown Christmas Celebration is held each year on the first Friday night in December.  Every other year, the City of Beaver Dam hosts a Christmas Parade on the first Saturday morning of December.

Q: How much does it cost to have water service turned on?
A:
A water deposit of $100.00 is required for all persons renting in the city limits of Beaver Dam. A deposit of $150.00 is required for all businesses.

Q: Is there a burn ban in effect? 
A:
Kentucky Division of Forestry places a “No Burning Before 6 p.m.” between Feb 15th thru April 30th and Oct 1st thru Dec 15th.  All other times, there is no burning until after 4:00 p.m. per City Ordinance.

Q: What are the business hours for City Hall?
A:
City Hall is open Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  A drop box is available after hours for your convenience.  The drop box is located near the drive-thru.

A:
Larry Carter is Beaver Dam’s Superintendent.  Office number to contact Larry is 270-274-7106.

Q: Who do I need to contact regarding water/sewer issues?
A:
You may contact either Larry Carter at 270-274-7106 or 270-274-5804.  For questions on your water bill, you may contact the water office at 270-274-7106.

Q: Do you have Planning & Zoning?
A:
Yes there are requirements if you are planning on building or remodeling within the city limits of Beaver Dam or Hartford.  You will need to contact Nancy Hoover at 270-274-7979 or 270-298-9809.
